My BD5 Extended Services Co ordinator

Hi, as the Extended Services co ordinator for My BD5 I work closely with 9 primaries in the BD5 area. I work closely with Headteachers and School staff in supporting schools with extended services. My BD5 provides opportunities to schools in relation to after school clubs, holiday activities for children, family trips, football club, parental engagement and family learning, support in engaging communities and working with partner agencies in enhancing links with schools.

I also liaise with 3 children's' centres, My BD5 is currently funding a sports development officer and a minibus driver for the 9 primary schools. Currently I manage the team and have been in post since July 2009. I am based at the Park Lane Centre and can be contacted on 07582 100704.

Sports Development Officer

Hi, I’m Richard. My role within the My BD5 team is to enthuse and encourage young people into a healthier lifestyle. I currently deliver after schools sports and Multi skills sessions, develop new and exciting sporting opportunities and have a great role as Coach and Chairman at the fantastic new MY BD5 Football Club. I have worked in lots of schools around Bradford and have found that the young people in BD 5 are absolutely fantastic and their enthusiasm and passion for sport encourages my work so we all have a great time learning together.

Tufail Rehman

Mini Bus Driver / Teaching Assistant

Hello my name is Tufail, my role is the BD5 Schools Mini Bus Driver / Teaching Assistant. I collect and return children from and to their schools or to and from My BD5 activities. I performed the teaching assistant role at the venues visited when not engaged in transporting children. I Support provision for pupils with special needs. I have established productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model.

If the My BD5 Mini Bus is not in use then I provide support for curriculum, support for pupils in respect of local and national learning strategies as directed by the Head teacher.

I am also responsible for the checking of the minibus in order to meet all health and safety requirements.

This role is a very exciting role I am visiting various locations everyday. I am meeting different children and learning much different teaching style.
